Dr. Angelina Tzacheva
Living in a world of endless information can be overwhelming for some, but for Dr. Angelina Tzacheva, assistant professor of informatics, the prospect of delving into all that information for rhyme and reason is where the adventure begins. Author of more than 17 papers in the field of data mining, she has proven to be expertly adept at discovering previously unknown patterns in large data stores. In fact, her dissertation for her Ph.D involved discovering new ways to classify cancer-risk patients.
Dr. Tzacheva’s discerning eye and ability to see the value of large data stores gives USC Upstate an edge in staying ahead of the curve in today’s information world.
