Jane Nodine is one of 50 nationally recognized artists showcased in the newly released book Encaustic Works 2012: An Exhibition in Print Selected by Joanne Mattera, published by R & F Handmade Paints Inc. Nodine is a professor of art at the University of South Carolina Upstate.

R&F Handmade Paints began presenting the Encaustic Works series of gallery exhibitions in 1997 as a way of documenting and cataloging an emerging medium with ancient roots. These popular exhibits were juried by some of the most prominent contemporary artists, such as Judy Pfaff and Joan Snyder. For 2012, R&F decided to bring the Encaustic Works series into the 21st Century by turning it into an exhibition-in-print. Artists for this inaugural edition were selected through submissions by artist, author, curator and blogger, Joanne Mattera. This beautiful, full-color book contains 90 pages, and includes an introduction by Mattera along with a portfolio section featuring double-page spreads by twenty-nine of the most exciting artists working in encaustic today.
