The Dec. 13 talk is part of the “CAL Call,” a series of programs held each month from September to April at the Charlotte Art League. Each Call is open to the public and features a guest speaker who is prominent and accomplished in the world of art. Jane Allen Nodine will speak about the process of judging competitive art activities, from exhibitions and competitions to grants and scholarships. Nodine, professor of art and director of the Curtis R. Harley Ary Gallery at the University of South Carolina Upstate, was the juror for CAL’s November art competition, “The Power of Innovation: Art Inside the New Energy Age,” co-sponsored by Siemens Energy.
