Alex Timonov, associate professor of mathematics, has started scientific consulting for the Army Research Lab/Army Research Office (ARL/ARO). His professional work will be conducted within the ARL/ARO research grant “Globally Convergent Methods for Solving Coefficient Inverse Problems for Time Dependent Maxwell Equations,” which is currently pursued at UNC Charlotte. It is expected to investigate analytically and computationally some globally convergent algorithms and to interpret quantitatively the real data from Ground Penetrating Radars
